In the meantime, the Archaeological Working Group Valkenburg (AWV) has slowly resumed its activities in accordance with the Corona measures. With small groups we are again working steadily on the various projects in the Restoration studio.
This year it is 25 years ago that the working group was founded during the archaeological research of the monastery complex and church in Houthem Sint Gerlach. Since then, help has been sought from these volunteers more often. Soon there will be the opportunity to see various results during a special exhibition.
The exhibition can be seen in October / November in the Jacques Vonckzaal of Museum Valkenburg. “A look behind the scenes at AWV“. Keep an eye on the website for more information.
