At the invitation of Museum Valkenburg, Peter Slegers exhibits in the Jacques Vonk room with a whole new multi-dimensional project, inspired by “The Last Supper” by Leonardo da Vinci.
Regarding his recent project, Peter himself says: “I have done extensive research into the work of Leonardo and his motives. I studied the original in the Santa Maria Delle Grazie chapel in Milan. Many elements in The Last Supper fascinate me such as astro-theological references, the application of the “golden section” and especially the use of imagination. I carry out my interpretation of Leonardo’s work with figures of actual size on a canvas of 650 x 250 cm. I invite visitors “at the table” to experience the work in a multi-dimensional way, with the aim of stimulating all the senses. ”
