Although a number of minor relaxation was announced yesterday, unfortunately it remains quiet in museums for a while. But soon you will be able to see the exhibition “Harry Koolen – Faithful to his palette” in our museum. Koolen was born in Meerssen and received the prestigious Thérèse Schwartze Prize in 1929 with a portrait of his colleague and friend Hubert Levigne. Children and grandchildren were also often models. Here you can already see a beautiful portrait of his son Lucas that Koolen painted in 1954.
The exhibition can be admired as soon as it is allowed, at least after 30 March.
See you in our museum!
