Under this title, the Foundation In Onsen Lande van Valckenborgh is organizing an open-air meeting on Friday 2 August 2019 at 2:00 PM in the shadow of Plenkertstraat near the Vuursteenmijntjes archaeological monument.
Experts from the foundation provide text and explanation on the street side about the flint mining that took place here 5.300 years ago. After an introduction, everyone can ask questions and, in a relaxed atmosphere, gain knowledge about this unique monument.
Attention is also paid to the recently revealed monolith and the motivation behind it. Participation is completely free and without obligation. The duration of the explanation is in fact determined by the public.
Place of meeting: Plenkertstraat, opposite Par’Course (former De Leeuw brewery).
